Look up Black Greek-letter Organizations so you can understand their significance. Did you know that membership in and commitment to black sororities and fraternities extends beyond college? In fact, some individuals become members in their post-collegiate years. Why? Because these organizations, while very unique in their own rights, are founded on principles of scholarship and service, and their thousands of members worldwide join with the expectation to make significant contributions to advance major causes, promote black excellence, and develop leaders. If you see one on someone’s profile or resume (for example, Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris), ask about it. You’ll likely find valuable roles, endeavors, and experiences that give you more insights into that individual.

I am a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Fellow Greeks, rep your organization in the comments!
